I attended the Constantia Waldorf School from Kindergarten in 1984 through to High School, eventually leaving at the end of Class 10 in 1994 to complete my final schooling years at a college. I have incredibly fond memories of the 11 years which I spent at the Constantia Waldorf School and I will always cherish my Waldorf education, not only because of how much I enjoyed the time spent there, but also because of the role that it has played in shaping the person that I am today. I believe that my Waldorf education has allowed me to develop so many qualities which I now hold dear, including my passion for learning and personal development, my integrity, my individuality and my determination to succeed.

My passion for learning was nurtured through the holistic approach to teaching which allowed me to explore every facet of my creativity through the numerous artisanal activities, which included woodwork, basket weaving, sewing and knitting to name but a few. My integrity, my empathy and respect for others was shaped through the thoughtfully chosen stories and parables which were shared by the teachers during my foundation years. The freedom afforded to me and my fellow learners in terms of dress and creative expression fostered my individuality and positive self-expression. This was further developed through ongoing art and drama. Furthermore, the personal attention and encouragement from the nurturing teachers fostered my passion for learning and determination to succeed.

After matriculating, I studied Business Science at UCT and graduated in 2000. Since then I have been working at Accenture, starting as a consulting analyst in 2001, and working my way up to the Senior Manager role, which I have been in for the past 7 years. I married the love of my life in 2006 and we have recently become a family by adopting our daughter Mila, who is 14 months old. We have already submitted her Waldorf application as we  believe that having a Waldorf education will help her to grow into a well-rounded, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and determined woman.
